Troubleshoot VM template creation

Template states are based on VM template disk states. See Private cloud VM template disk and conversion states list

The UI upload process is handled by the browser and there are some limitations. If a file is not compatible with UI upload, your system administrator can upload it manually. See Importing Templates into the Appliance Library#Manual Upload.

Note that downloading templates to the client requires access to the Appliance Manager IP address configured for the current datacenter.
