Cost usage reports with billing data
Abiquo 6.2 gives you access to cost usage data and CSV report files in the Abiquo UI. This feature enables you to explore and analyze your cloud costs across all providers.
In this version, Abiquo also introduces improvements to billing performance in private and public cloud. And in future versions, you will be able to generate a billing CSV file from the Abiquo UI.
You can access this feature in the Control view on the Billing tab with the View bills
privilege.
The default report is the cost in the last month for all the private and public cloud accounts in a tenant.
To view how your overall cloud costs have changed in the last month, you can click Select filters and for the Granularity, select DAY
. To change the filters, your user must have the privilege to Manage cost usage report filters
.
Abiquo will update the report to display your daily cost usage for the new filters.
After you edit the report filters, we recommend that you click the pencil edit button to edit the report details. After you enter a Name and Description, you can select the Shared checkbox that will make the report available to other users in your enterprise. To save the current report filter, click the Save report filter button at the bottom of the screen.
To save the filter as a new report, click the expand arrow and select Save as new report.
To display the saved filters, go to the Saved report filters tab.
To display a report from a filter, select and double-click the filter.
In addition to the View bills
privilege, the Manage cost usage report filters
privilege lets you save filters, list your report filters and shared report filters, and to manage your own report CSV files.
If you also have the Allow user to switch enterprise
privilege, then you can also manage reports for other users, but report CSV files belong to one user only. If your enterprise is a reseller or a key node, then you can also display reports of other enterprises in your scope hierarchy using the enterprise filter.
