Change hardware profiles section

Abiquo 6.2.1 introduces a significant overhaul to the "Hardware Profiles Section," a vital component for configuring virtual machines that previously suffered from usability issues due to the overwhelming amount of data packed into a small combobox. This update aims to transform the user experience by enhancing visibility, accessibility, and functionality.

Enhanced Display and Usability: The traditional combobox has been replaced with a new visual layout featuring cards. Each hardware profile (HP) is now displayed as an individual card in a paginated format, making it easier to view and select. These cards prominently display essential information such as CPU and RAM specifications, ensuring users can quickly grasp the capabilities of each hardware profile.

Advanced Filtering Options: To streamline the search and selection process, new filters have been added:

  • CPU and RAM Ranges: Users can now filter hardware profiles based on minimum, maximum, or exact values for CPU and RAM.

  • Family and Type Filters: These filters allow users to narrow down choices based on the specific family or type of hardware, with tooltips providing additional descriptions for each.

  • Generation Filter: This filter helps users target hardware profiles that match the current generation of technology, ensuring compatibility and performance.

Improved Navigation and Details: Below each hardware profile card, detailed descriptions are now more accessible, providing users with all necessary information without clutter. The current selected hardware profile is clearly highlighted, aiding users in tracking their selections.

- Now when selecting a Hardware profile (create and edit) it will be mandatory to click on ‘Select’
from Hardware profile field.
