Improvements to one time extra charges

Abiquo 6.1.1 introduces improvements to one-time extra charges with cost codes. One-time extra charges let you charge users for a one-off item or service in their next bill. You can use these extra charges to offer products such as licenses, professional services, and installations.

To use one-time extra charges, assign a pricing template to the enterprise, and create one-time extra charges. You can set initial prices and then customize prices in pricing models.

Create a new one-time extra charge for a product or service

You can now add one-time extra charge to a VM, or to an enterprise, as an enterprise product.

Enterprise products purchased with one-time extra charges

A VM does not have to be deployed or in any specific state to apply one-time extra charges. You cannot add one-time extra charges to a hardware profile or a VM template.

Each time you add a one-time extra charge, you will need to confirm the purchase, because the charge is made directly and there is no refund.

You can add an extra charge to the same VM or enterprise more than once. The platform stores the date and time when you added the enterprise product, or saved the VM to add the extra charge.

There is a new privilege to remove one-time extra charges from an entity.
