This section describes support for Azure Plans and configuration options.

Abiquo supports billing for Microsoft Azure Plans, which is a type of partner account. Under Azure Plans there can be more than one subscription that belongs to the same Azure customer. And there are some products and services that Azure invoices to the customer and not the subscriptions.

To onboard an Azure Plans customer, you have the following options.

  1. Onboard the Azure Plans customer into a single enterprise

    1. Add a customer enterprise and set it as a keynode in the reseller hierarchy

    2. Onboard the Azure account for billing only, so all the customer subscriptions and charges will appear on one billing dashboard in the main enterprise.
With this option, you can select each subscription to display its Last bills and Estimated bill.

Select a subscription to display its Last bills
  2. Onboard the Azure Plans customer into a keynode hierarchy

    1. Add a main customer enterprise and set it as a keynode in the reseller hierarchy.

    2. Then for each subscription to onboard, add a separate standard enterprise, under the keynode.

    3. In each standard enterprise, onboard the subscription and set the following enterprise property, so it will not receive bills for the main customer’s products and services.

      azurecompute-arm_only_bill_subscription=true

The main customer enterprise will not have this property, so it will receive a bill for the customer’s products and services.
With this option, each user can log in to their own subscription and view their bills, and they may also use the Azure compute features.
