Abiquo and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure new features

 

Abiquo 6.0 introduces the following new features in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) integration.

VM bootstrap scripts

Abiquo now supports VM bootstrap scripts on Linux and Windows. You can add a cloud-config script that is compatible with cloud-init or cloudbase-init, which is included by default in OCI Windows templates.

VM variables

Abiquo 6.0.0 adds support for VM variables on Linux and Windows as OCI instance metadata. You can use VM variables with your bootstrap scripts.

VM snapshots

In Abiquo 6.0.0, you can save the boot disk of your VM as an Abiquo instance template.

You will need to power off one or more VMs to make templates from the VM boot disks.

To make a template, select the VM and the boot disk


The platform saves the VM template in OCI and adds it to the Abiquo Catalogue

Onboard OCI Defined tags 

Abiquo 6.0.0 adds support to onboard OCI defined tags into Abiquo. The defined tags are in addition to Abiquo multicloud tags, which are OCI Freeform tags.
