Update the MAC addresses of private IPs

After you assign a static MAC address on vCenter, you can update the MAC address in Abiquo.

Note that this feature will not update the MAC address in the Abiquo DHCP lease.

To update a MAC address, you will require the privilege to Update MAC of Private IP.

Go the Private networks page:

• in Infrastructure view

• OR in myCloud Virtual datacenters view.

• Then select the IP address and edit it to set the same MAC address as in vCenter.
  
  

When you modify the MAC, the platform will create an event for the PRIVATE IP entity with the MODIFY_MAC action code.
