This page describes how to configure the display of AWS billing data for standard accounts.

The billing data will display on the multi-cloud platform in Home view on the default Hybrid Billing dashboard in the Last bills and Estimated bill widgets.

See Hybrid in the billing dashboards section.

Create a cost and usage report in AWS

As you work through these steps, note the values you configure so that you can later register them in Abiquo with enterprise properties.

  1. Create an S3 bucket, with a name such as costandusagebillingreport

  2. Within the bucket, create a folder where AWS will store your reports. Give it the name of your report, such as costandusagereport

  3. If your Abiquo AWS user does not already have an S3 policy for using volumes, assign a policy to allow readonly access to S3 storage

  4. On the AWS Billing console, select the Activate IAM access setting.
    See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/control-access-billing.html

  5. Go to Cost & Usage Reports

  6. Enter the Report name, then click Next

  7. Click Configure and select the S3 bucket. Click Next, then select I have configured that this policy is correct.

  8. By default, Amazon will put the reports in a folder with the name format /report-name/date-range/. Note this value to enter it as the amazon_bucket_prefix in Abiquo.

  9. Click Next

  10. Review your configuration and check that the following parameters are set.

    1. bucket name

    2. path (folder/subfolder)

    3. time detail: Hourly

    4. GZ or ZIP format

  11. The AWS account with credentials to use in Abiquo should have pricing and billing permissions.
