Virtual machine action plans

This page introduces Abiquo action plans.
Action plans are a series of tasks to run on a VM or a scaling group, or as general tasks, such as sending an email.
Action plans are a key feature for VM automation on the multi-cloud platform

Users can create more than one action plan for a VM or scaling group. Users can also use resource tag filters to select a dynamic group of VMs or scaling groups to run an action on.

Action plans can incorporate tasks in multiple cloud locations and they can be triggered by monitoring alerts from custom metrics.

Users can manage action plans in the Control view.

Users simply add a series of entities and actions, which may even include hot-reconfigure of VM resources, sending emails, and sending webhooks

An action plan can send an email based on a schedule or a trigger from monitoring alerts
