Abiquo and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure new features
Â
Abiquo 6.0 introduces the following new features in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) integration.
For full details about the integration with this provider, see OCI features table and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure integration.
VM bootstrap scripts
Abiquo now supports VM bootstrap scripts on Linux and Windows. You can add a cloud-config script that is compatible with cloud-init or cloudbase-init, which is included by default in OCI Windows templates.
VM variables
Abiquo 6.0.0 adds support for VM variables on Linux and Windows as OCI instance metadata. You can use VM variables with your bootstrap scripts.
Load balancers with target groups.Â
See Abiquo and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure load balancers and OCI load balancers table
OCI load balancers are similar to AWS load balancers.
VM snapshots
In Abiquo 6.0.0, you can save the boot disk of your VM as an Abiquo instance template.
You will need to power off one or more VMs to make templates from the VM boot disks.
To make a template, select the VM and the boot disk
The platform saves the VM template in OCI and adds it to the Abiquo Catalogue
Onboard OCI Defined tagsÂ
Abiquo 6.0.0 adds support to onboard OCI defined tags into Abiquo. The defined tags are in addition to Abiquo multicloud tags, which are OCI Freeform tags.
