Configure dashboard display
Default dashboard tabs
The predefined default Dashboard on the platform displays the Metrics, Hybrid, and Optimization tabs.
For details of how to change the default dashboard, see Manage Dashboards.
Restore the Default dashboard
To restore the Default dashboard:
- Go to Configuration view → Dashboards
- Click the Restore button at the bottom page
Allow users to manage dashboards
The dashboard configurations are stored as JSON metadata, so the privileges for enterprise and user dashboards are to view and manage user and enterprise metadata.

Display billing data on billing widgets
By default for cloud users, on the biling widgets the billing data does not display and the default text is "No data available".
To enable the display of the billing details in the billing widgets
- Configure billing dashboards. See Display cloud provider billing data.
- Assign the following privilege to user roles: View bills
Users may have to wait for the platform to obtain billing data from the provider.
Configure billing charts
To configure the default billing charts in the billing widgets, use UI configuration properties. For example:
- number of months to display bills for
- the currency conversion factors for billing dashboards. See Configure billing dashboard currency conversions
- provider list with complete friendly names

To configure dashboard options, see also Configuration View#Dashboard. For example, to change how often the platform updates statistics use the "Refresh interval for dashboard" parameter.
Generate public cloud billing data
To generate billing on demand for a public cloud account:
Privileges: Generate billing, Manage enterprises
- Edit the enterprise, go to Credentials → Pricing
- The enterprise must have public cloud credentials for a partner or standard account
- Click the play arrow Generate billing button
- Optionally select the months and years to start and end billing generation. If you don't enter any dates, the platform will attempt to generate any missing data based on past requests, and the platform will adapt to the provider's billing cycle dates.
- For an enterprise hierarchy, select enterprises.
- Click Accept.
The platform will now obtain the billing data from the public cloud provider, which will display on the billing dashboard widgets. The platform will store a history of billing data requests. By default, administrators of an enterprise can make a total of 2 requests per day, and the system administrator can configure the request limit with an Abiquo property.
Display enterprise statistics on the Enterprise resources widget
By default for users, the Enterprise resources panel will display usage for virtual datacenters only.
To enable the display of enterprise statistics, assign the Display enterprise statistics privilege to user roles.

The user can now select virtual datacenter or enterprise statistics.
To enable the display of enterprise limits in the enterprise and virtual datacenter statistics, assign the following privilege to user roles. The display of usage will now incorporate the allocation limits of the enterprise and virtual datacenters with orange markers for soft limits and red markers for hard limits.

To configure other dashboard options, see Configuration View#Dashboard. For example, the statistics are updated at the interval set with the "Refresh interval for dashboard" parameter.
Display Enterprises list on left of the dashboard
The administrator dashboard displays a list of Enterprises on the left panel.
To enable a user to view this list:
- Assign the List enteprises within scope privilege
- Add multiple enterprises to the user's administration scope.

Display switch enterprises button on the Enterprises list
To display the switch enterprise button beside the enterprise name on the Enteprises list when the user selects the enterprise.
- Assign the privilege to Allow user to switch enterprises.
To enable the user to jump directly to a resource in another enterprise by clicking on the resource name:
- Assign the privilege to Allow user to switch enterprises.
