This page describes the Metrics default dashboard tab.
For the monitoring and metrics system, see VM monitoring and metrics and Configure VM monitoring and metrics
On the default Home view dashboard, the Metrics tab provides an overview of the resources an enterprise is using on the platform.
To jump straight to a resource, click on the resource name in a table.
To display more details of an event, click on the event in the table.
For the administrator, by default the platform displays the metrics for the current enterprise. To display metrics for another enterprise, select the enterprise or switch to it.
For the cloud user, the Metrics tab displays the metrics for the enterprise's virtual datacenters without the Enterprises list or the enterprise statistics.
Enterprise resources and virtual datacenter resources
This panel shows the amount of resources that an enterprise is using in all accessible datacenters, or the selected virtual datacenter.
To view usage and limits:
Log in, or select, or switch to the enterprise
Select Virtual datacenters and select a virtual datacenter
OR select Enterprise
Statistics | Description |
---|---|
Virtual CPUs | Virtual CPUs used by VMs that are currently deployed |
Storage | VM disk (GB) created on the hypervisor datastore, including VM system disks and hard disks. |
Memory | RAM (GB) used by VMs that are currently deployed |
Ext. Storage | Volumes of storage (GB) in public cloud cloud providers in VDCs. |
Networks | Number of private networks defined in Abiquo. A default private network is always created when you create a virtual datacenter. |
Public IPs | Number of IP addresses purchased or reserved in public networks |
Repository | NFS Repository space used by the enterprise in the Catalogue including templates and instances but not conversions (GB). For enterprises only, not virtual datacenters |
Virtual machines | Number of VMs deployed by the enterprise |
DR protected VMs | Number of VMs protected by the disaster recovery service |
For the current enterprise the chart displays resource usage with soft and hard limits.
Key:
Blue shading = used
Orange line = soft limit
Orange shading = soft limit exceeded
Red line = hard limit
Options: Show soft limits; show hard limits; Type selector (enterprise or virtual datacenter); Metrics display, order, and graphic or number only.
The default view for cloud users is Enterprise resources for virtual datacenters only. To display tenant metrics, the user must have the Display enterprise statistics privilege. To display limits, the user must have the Display enterprise limits in statistics privilege.
Virtual appliances
This is a list of details of all the virtual appliances in the user's enterprise, including:
