Alarms across the cloud

Abiquo 4.4 enables users to create alarms on metrics across the cloud. In particular, users can create alarms on the following metrics:

• built-in metrics for VMs and scaling group VMs.
• custom metrics for virtual resources in the cloud:
  
  • VMs
  • Scaling groups
  • Virtual appliances
  • Virtual datacenters
• built-in metrics for VMs in infrastructure
• custom alarms for infrastructure:
  • Physical machines
  • Racks
  • Datacenters

The custom metric endpoints accept metrics pushed using Collectd.

There are two new alarms tabs to replace the VM Alarms tab.

Virtual datacenters → Alarms

Infrastructure → Alarms

The process for creating an alarm is similar for all alarms.
