Basic virtual datacenters concepts

Virtual appliances

A virtual appliance is like a folder that contains a group of one or more workloads (virtual machines (VMs) or containers) that may be related and can be used to provide a service. Each VM is an independent entity but you can deploy all of the VMs in the virtual appliance together. On the Virtual appliances tab, You can manage virtual appliances in the Virtual datacenters view on the Virtual appliances tab of a virtual datacenter in either list view (shown above) or card view.
