Protect VM feature summary

The Protect VM feature uses a padlock button on the VM control panel

• Privileges: Protect virtual machine

• Blocks actions on a VM in the platform by users who do not have the privilege

• The VM must be ON, PAUSED, or OFF

• The Cause (or reason) for protecting the VM will display together with the administrator's Name in the VM General details section

• A padlock symbol displays on the top left corner of the VM icon

• The status bar of the VM icon changes to display MAINTENANCE. You can customize this status in the UI labels
