This page describes how to set up an integration with a disaster recovery system for use in private cloud data centers on the multi-cloud platform, so that users can enable disaster recovery for their VMs with self-service.

Create a protection manager

To create a protection manager for disaster recovery:

  1. Go to Infrastructure → Protection managers

  2. Click the + add button and enter the General information about the protection manager

    1. For the Endpoint enter the URL for connecting to the protection manager API. Tip: When adding a Zerto protection manager, don't forget to add the slash "/v1/" at the end of the URL. Zerto example: https://zerto.host.domain:9669/v1/

    2. For the User and Password, enter the credentials for the disaster recovery system

    3. For the Recovery protection manager, select another Zerto Protection Manager that is paired with this protection manager for recovery.

  3. For the Available datacenters, select at least one datacenter where the NARS remove service can connect with Zerto, to assist Abiquo in managing the disaster recovery.
