Create a dashboard

Administrators can create dashboards for the whole platform (default dashboards), and reseller and enterprise dashboards.

All users with the appropriate privileges can create their own user dashboards.

To create a dashboard tab:

Privileges: Manage default dashboards, Access enterprise metadata (dashboards), Manage enterprise metadata (dashboards), Access user metadata (dashboards), Manage user metadata (dashboards)

  1. Go Home view

  2. At the right of the Dashboard tabs, click the + Add button

  3. Enter the dashboard details

    1. The Type is for display and management of the dashboard for Default (all users), the current Enterprise, or the current User. See Dashboard types

    2. For the Lang code, enter the language code (as for the UI, see Abiquo UI client language configuration). 
      You can customize or translate the dashboard labels and save them in a file (with a name in the format displayed) in the lang folder of the UI.
      For example "dashboard.tab.SpainITTeamDashboard.es_ES"

    3. For Dashboard order in type group, set the display order of the dashboard.

  4. Click Save

  5. Add widgets and configure them as required. See Add widgets to a dashboard and Dashboard widgets

  6. After you have finished, click Save dashboard changes 


Add widgets to a dashboard

If you have the privileges to manage a dashboard, you can add any available widget to the dashboards.

To add widgets to a dashboard, do these steps.

Privileges: Manage default dashboards, Access enterprise metadata (dashboards), Manage enterprise metadata (dashboards), Access user metadata (dashboards), Manage user metadata (dasboards)

  1. Go to Home view → select a dashboard

  2. Click Add widget

  3. From the Widgets catalog, select a dashboard widget. Configure the widget as required

  4. Click Add

  5. Repeat for more widgets, then click Save dashboard changes

Resize dashboard widgets

To resize widgets on a dashboard, the user must have permission to manage the dashboard. The user can click on the edge of a widget and drag to resize it. But if the widget has a scroll bar on the bottom or right-hand side, the user may not be able to resize in this direction.

Restore the default dashboard

To restore the predefined Default dashboard with Metrics, Hybrid, and Optimization tabs:

  1. Go to Configuration view → Dashboards

  2. Click the Restore default dashboards button at the bottom of the page
