Abiquo 5.2 introduces the following features:


Abiquo and Azure Resource Groups

Abiquo enables users to work with Azure Resource Groups to manage the resources of a project across multiple Azure regions and save admin time.

Abiquo and Google Cloud Platform

Abiquo 5.2 offers improved support for Google Cloud Platform with a new integration that extends and improves the basic GCE integration of previous versions.

Abiquo 5.2.1 introduces VM startup scripts with cloud-init and VM monitoring for Google Cloud Platform

Add tenant metadata to your VMs

In Abiquo 5.2.1, you can specify enterprise properties with tenant metadata to inject into your VMs. This functionality will enable you to customize default automation values per cloud tenant. For example, you can add a cloud-init script to connect to an external Windows License or AD server and automatically assign your VMs to the appropriate AD group.

Azure Standard SKUs for load balancers and public IPs

Abiquo 5.2 introduces support for standard SKUs with standard public IPs and standard load balancers, in addition to basic SKUs.This enables users to work with more advanced load balancing features.

Custom metrics for VApps and Scaling groups in the UI

Abiquo 5.2 increases observability of your cloud applications with new screens in the user interface to display custom metrics for virtual appliances and scaling groups, in addition to the VM metrics display. Users can create and push custom metrics to virtual appliances and scaling groups, and many other entities using the Abiquo custom metrics API or the Abiquo collectd integration

Custom VM icons

In Abiquo 5.2, the user can now set a custom icon for each VM to enable them to easily identify their applications.

Deploy OVA ready templates

In Abiquo 5.2.1+, you can deploy VMs from templates created from OVAs with parameters.

Disaster Recovery as a Service

Abiquo 5.2 introduces the DRaaS feature with an initial integration of Zerto into the multi-cloud platform to provide self-service disaster recovery on demand for your users. This will complement the existing Backup as a Service feature and enable you to provide a more complete Managed Services platform. 

Extended billing dashboards

Abiquo 5.2 extends the billing dashboards to support the Google Cloud Platform and Abiquo has also integrated the public cloud billing dashboards into the core platform.

Multicloud resource tagging

Abiquo's multi-cloud resource tags enable you to manage public cloud tags and create inventories of groups of related resources, for example, you can tag all the resources in a project and display them together.

Multiple IdPs for SAML from user email domain

Abiquo 5.2.1 introduces multiple identity providers (IdPs) for the SAML integration. 

There is a new option that you can add to the login screen to work with multiple IdPs. This option is "SAML + user".

The user enters their email address and Abiquo will use the email domain to match one of the IdPs. The user then clicks the button to go to the identity provider and authenticate.

SSO for Abiquo Reporting

Abiquo 5.2.1 introduces single sign on (SSO) for Abiquo Reporting, which is compatible with Abiquo's OpenID and SAML integrations as well as Abiquo's 2FA. SSO makes it easier for users to work with Reports by automatically logging them into the Reports system.

Support for vSphere 7.0

Abiquo has introduced support for vSphere version 7.0 and discontinued support for vSphere versions 5.x.
