Abiquo Enterprise can manage multiple storage systems to provide users with virtual storage on demand. This section describes the configuration of compatible storage systems
Abiquo supports managed storage on:
- NetApp
- LVM
- Nexenta
Abiquo also supports unmanaged storage on generic iSCSI devices. In addition, managed storage plugins for other storage technologies can be developed using the Storage Plugin SDK.
This chapter will describe how to configure the external managed and unmanaged storage supported by the Abiquo Platformsupports hard disks on the hypervisor datastore. Hard disks are not persistent. When the user undeploys a VM with disks on the hypervisor datastore, these disks will be destroyed.

Abiquo detects datastore disk changes
Abiquo periodically checks hypervisors for changes in VMs, including CPU, RAM and disks. You can set an abiquo.property
to control the frequency of these checks (abiquo.vsm.vmsyncfrequency.<PLUGIN>
, see Abiquo configuration properties and search for .vsm.
).
If you resize a VM disk, Abiquo updates the size in its database. If Abiquo detects that the datastore of the VM primary disk has changed, it updates the value in Abiquo and publishes the following tracer:
Datastore of virtual machine '{VIRTUAL_MACHINE_NAME}' has been changed from '{OLD_VALUE}' to '{NEW_VALUE}'
Abiquo support for storage moves and motion is described in the tables for each hypervisor.
