In a private cloud datacenter, to prevent users from creating private networks that use a certain network address range, you can reserve the range by creating an excluded network.
To create an excluded network:
Go to Infrastructure → Private
Select a datacenter and go to Servers Datacenter details view
Go to Network → Excluded
Click the + add button and enter the network details
The Network name can have up to 128 characters
Enter the Netmask in CIDR format
For IPv4 networks created in the platform, the netmask can have a value of
16to30inclusiveFor IPv6, it can have a value of
64,56, or48
Click Save
If users already have private networks with this range, the platform will display a warning popup.
To force the creation of the excluded range, click Confirm.
