To create an alarm on a VM metric:
Click the Create alarm icon on the metrics display
Enter the alarm Name and Description.
Optionally, enter the number of datapoints
Enter the minutes to evaluate the datapoints for.

Select the Statistic, Formula, and Threshold for alarm activation

The platform will display the alarm symbol on the VM icon and in the VM list.
