The Storage Network is a fast network used to connect virtual machines to their virtual storageoptional and customers can configure it for their own environment.

Basic Monolithic Installation for Testing
The scenario shown below is a basic Monolithic Install, which is suitable for testing environments only. In a monolithic configuration, the machine that is running the Abiquo Monolithic Server also contains the Abiquo Remote Services.

Initial Distributed Installation
The following diagram shows a Distributed Install with one Abiquo Datacenter, including a storage server and networks. This configuration can support more than one Abiquo Datacenter in the physical datacenter. As you can see, here there are three separate servers running the Abiquo platform components: the Abiquo Server (AEE Server), the Abiquo Remote Services, and the Abiquo V2V Services.
This setup can be used for a Private/Public Cloud with support for virtual storage and virtual machine networking. This setup allows for a mix of all types of IPs on each virtual machine, plus access to a multi-tier virtual storage system built to provide fast access to data.

Multiple Datacenters
The diagram below shows a basic scenario of the Abiquo platform with three Abiquo datacenters to highlight that each Abiquo datacenter must have its own Remote Services (including V2V Services) and NFS Repository, which stores the Appliance Library. Each datacenter should have access to a Remote Template Repository, which stores virtual machine templates accessible to all Abiquo datacenters.
