Private networks have private IP addresses and they are restricted within one virtual datacenter.
Users create private networks from virtual datacenters, so from the infrastructure, an administrator can:
View network use
Create IP addresses
To display private networks:
Go to Infrastructure view, and select a datacenter, then go to Networks → Private.
On the left of the Private networks screen, an expanding tree provides network information ordered hierarchically by enterprise and virtual datacenter.
To filter the networks by enterprise, enter text in the search box.
When you click a private network in the expanding tree, the right page shows the list of network IP addresses.
The default network for a virtual datacenter may be either the auto-created private network
, named default_network
, or another private network, shown in bold, a public network, or an external network. You can manage external networks on the External page and assign them to an enterprise's datacenters or virtual datacenters. You can override the default private network for a virtual datacenter in myCloud view by editing a new default network.

The Private IPs pane contains the detail of each of the IPs of the selected internal VLAN.
To sort by a column, click on the header of the column.
To navigate through the pages, use the page scroll.
The platform marks reserved private IPs with a padlock symbol. The administrator can assign these IPs to VMs outside of the platform. See Reserve private IPs.
