Default dashboards
The default dashboards of the platform have the Metrics, Hybrid and Optimization tabs. All users can access all tabs of the dashboard. If the user does not have the appropriate privileges to display the data in a widget, the platform will display "No data available".
Create a dashboard
Administrators can create dashboards for the whole platform (default dashboards) and enterprise dashboards. All users with the appropriate privileges can create their own user dashboards.
To create a dashboard:

If you have the privileges to manage a dashboard, you can add any available widget to the dashboards.

Configure billing charts
To configure the default billing charts in the billing widgets, use UI configuration properties. For example:
- number of months to display bills for
- the currency conversion factors for billing dashboards
- provider list with complete friendly names

To configure dashboard options, see also Configuration View#Dashboard. For example, to change how often the platform updates statistics use the "Refresh interval for dashboard" parameter.
Display enterprise statistics on the Enterprise resource widget
By default for users, the Enterprise resources panel will display usage for virtual datacenters only.
To enable the display of enterprise statistics, assign the Display enterprise statistics privilege to user roles.

The user can now select virtual datacenter or enterprise statistics.
To enable the display of enterprise limits in the enterprise and virtual datacenter statistics, assign the following privilege to user roles. The display of usage will now incorporate the allocation limits of the enterprise and virtual datacenters with orange markers for soft limits and red markers for hard limits.

Display enterprise list on left of dashboard
The administrator dashboard has a list of enterprises in the left panel.
To enable a user to view this list:
- Assign the List enteprises within scope privilege
- Add multiple enterprises to the user's administration scope.

To display the switch enterprise button on the enteprise list
- Assign the privilege to Allow user to switch enterprises.
To enable the user to jump directly to a resource in another enterprise by clicking on the resource name:
- Assign the privilege to Allow user to switch enterprises.

Configure the thresholds for highest and lowest usage of CPU and RAM
On the Optimization dashboard, the default lower threshold for the highest CPU and RAM usage is 80%. The default upper threshold for lowest CPU and RAM usage is 30%. The threshold values will display in the widget headers. To configure these values, set the client.dashboard.widgets.defaultvalues property. See Configure Abiquo UI.
Configure the thresholds for longest time deployed
On the Optimization dashboard, the default lower threshold for the longest time deployed is 90 days. The threshold value will display in the widget header. To configure these values, set the client.dashboard.widgets.mindaysdeployed property, which has a default value of 90 days. See Configure Abiquo UI.

Resize dashboard widgets
To resize widgets on a dashboard, the user must have permission to manage the dashboard. The user can click on the edge of a widget and drag to resize it. But if the widget has a scroll bar on the bottom or right-hand side, the user may not be able to resize in this direction.

Restore the default dashboard
To restore the predefined Default dashboard:
Go to Configuration view → Dashboards
Click the Restore default dashboards button at the bottom of the page
The platform will now display the Metrics, Hybrid, and Optimization tabs only.

Display billing data on the dashboard
By default for cloud users, on the Last bills and Estimated bills widgets, the default text is No data available

To enable the display of billing data:
Configure the platform to obtain billing data from the cloud provider or private cloud.

Users may have to wait for the platform to obtain billing data from the provider and estimate bills.
To refresh the dashboard, click the Refresh button in the top right corner of the page.
