Introduction to Zerto test environment
This page describes a basic environment that is suitable for testing Zerto with Abiquo.
Abiquo’s initial test environment was created with Zerto 8.5.

Zerto will not protect certain VM configurations, so please check the Zerto Documentation (and in particular, the list of unprotected VMs at https://help.zerto.com/bundle/Zerto-Virtual-Manager-vSphere-Administration-Guide/resource/Zerto%20Virtual%20Manager%20vSphere%20Administration%20Guide.pdf , which was linked at the time of page update). The VM configurations that Zerto will not protect include VMs that have DVDs or IDE devices. |

We configured a test environment similar to the one shown at https://help.zerto.com/bundle/Admin.VC.HTML/page/Content/AdminVC/The_Zerto_Solution_Architecture.htm in The Zerto Solution Architecture section of the Installation guide.
The following configuration is for a test environment only and we recommend that you also configure your firewall and ports and communications according to the Zerto documentation.
In our test environment we configured two VMs with Windows Server 2019 and attached them to the Zerto Replication Network and the Management network.
